Did you gaze at it, roaming, throughout the nightfall, over the reflection of the midnight sky on the pond?
Did it catch your eye at dawn, ascending into the holographic mist—
An ocean of pearls,
A beautiful blend of satin and feathers as it sank
into the embrace of its wings; a field of jasmine, the taste of vanilla,
Severing the fog with its onyx beak?
Did you discern it, the ring and soprano
A piercing charcoal melody—like teardrops drumming against the floor—like a harsh cascade slashing down the dusky ridges?
And did you observe it, in the end, below the empyrean—
An ivory emblem Surging through the atmosphere, its platforms
Like inky flora, its wings like the gleam of light scattered over the ocean?
And did you touch it, in your soul, how it related with all?
And have you too tardily concluded what purpose elegance owns?
And will you contemplate your future ethics?
