Did you too spot it, blending in from dusk to dawn, against the depths of Madagascar’s rainforest?
Did you notice it hiding into the vast sunrise, loafing upon the lush leaves, a variety of colors at its disposal,
A coral reef,
A flawless combination of scales and leather as it morphs
amongst the skin; a rainbow, an iris
Moving steadily as its tail follows.
Did you hear it, shrilling and screeching
A hushed melody, like splashing ocean waves crashing on a rock
Fluctuating with its environment?
And did you see it, finally, resting on a rock –
Detached from its object at its feet
Like streams carving new channels, its scales engraved with its surroundings?
And did you feel it, in your heart, how it changed everything?
And have you too finally figured out what change is for?
And have you adapted to it?
